A RAW AND HONEST PERSPECTIVE

In this series of writing, I attempt to educate, inform, and challenge the notions that surround our relationships with animals through my own experiences in animal rescue and care. I tell stories of animals who have been rescued, which at times can be harrowing, in hopes of creating a more compassionate world.

The blog title "Visions of Mercy" is a tribute to Mercy, a severely sick and injured veal calf who sadly passed away under veterinary care at a sanctuary after her rescue. It is a plea for the public to act with kindness, empathy, and above all, mercy towards our planet's most vulnerable inhabitants.
